Hi everyone,

I am trying to impose one video track over another in an irregular
shape. I know how to scale the video 2 track down but it is always
locked in the height/width format. please help.

I dont know your exact version of premiere, but in my effect control
window there's a little box called "uniform scale" that can be checked
or uncheck. If I uncheck it, I can scale height and width separately.

im using pro version 1.5. Scaling height and width separately is not
exactly what im trying to do. I want to be able to make irregular
shapes (like a octogan or star shape for instance) and then have the
video play in it. is this even possible in premier?

You have to work with Matte of Track Matte. You have to make a matte in the
title designer, photoshop or illustrator in grey's. I suggest you look at
http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tutdes_ppro_blurface.htm or
http://theburlygroup.com/tut_track_matte1.shtml both tutorials how to use
matte's.

Good luck!
Reinie.
