I have searched quite thoroughly on the forum and have not found anyone with this problem so i apologise if I have missed anything.
I am currently archiving a large number of home movies using adobe premiere pro and the mainconcept mpeg pro package to read the mpeg video.
My camcorder records in mono, and so I have been using a mono master track in my projects, as well as exporting the final mpeg in mono.
My problem is that, while it plays the mono track out of both speakers on my PC when I play the DVD in my standalone player the mono track only comes out of the left speaker. It is definatelky not a fault in the speakers of player as other dvds work fine. I know sometimes mono tracks are in fact just recorded on the left channel, but I assumed using a mono master and mono export this would eradicate any problem that may cause and create a single mono output.
I saw on the forum you can use the clip > treat as mono function on the actual clip - however this is ghosted on the clips I have captured/imported.
Has anybody else had this problem, or do you have any advice on its possible cause?
Many thanks for any help.
