I assume that you are using a trial version of Premiere Pro.

Adobe Media Encoder and Export to DVD are excluded in all trial versions of Premiere Pro.

I'm a Premiere 6.0 customer and I need better WMV support. In about 15 minutes I can decide if I should upgrade to Premiere Pro 1.5 or not. If there's no way I'll have to try something other then an Adobe product because I don't want to shell out the money only to find out it that it's no better then Windows Media Encoder :(

What to do?

I guess you could shell out money for other products to find out whether they'll provide better WMV support. But that will take longer than 15 minutes. What's your idea of "better support"?

I'm testing trials right now. I mean 15 minutes to see if Premiere Pro will handle it. Is there a way to test this feature in Premiere without buying the full product?

6.0 doesn't support the newer formats after WMV 8 is all.

why not just download Windows Media Encoder 9 from Microsoft - export your projects as uncompressed AVI's and then make encode via Windows Media Encoder - it's free and will give you the necessary information I think you are looking for. In addition, they just released a 64 bit version of their encoder.

You can download it here <http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx>

I have about 50 hours worth of videos to handle. I'd much rather add the titles AND convert to WMV at one time instead of processing the videos twice. Really, why process something twice when you can do it just once?

well as stated earlier, the options are basically that or another solution. At least with this solution - You can see what the final product looks like - PPro utilizes the same codecs as in the WIndows Media Encoder. Yes - it is having to take an additional step - but it's either take the additional step by utilizing WME - or take your chances and purchase PPro and hope it does what you want it to.
