Does anyone know a way to take a power point presentation and import it into Premiere Pro.

Thanks

Anthony, a quick 'Forum Search' would be a good first step - this has been discussed before.

Here's but one example... CLICK <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?13@@.3bbc7701/0>

Jon,

I will check the forums again, but the one you sent me to is not what I was trying to do. What I would like to do is take the finished slide show and hopefully put it into some kind of movie file so i can import the finished powerpoint presentation into PP.

Anthony,

I have done something similair. I want to do a "minority Report" type of thing, where Tom Criuse moves holographic computer screens around in midair, using AE. I needed screen shoots from a PC.

I just used a laptop, with a S jack. I plugged the camcorder into the S jack, and was able to record anything on the computer screen.

Find/borrow a laptop with a S jack. Plug your camcorder in, play the Powerpoint slides, and record. Next you can capture the footage from your camcorder.

One option could be to capture each slide in full screen as a still and bring those stills into PPro and add transitions and such. Option 2 is to set up the powerpoint to run automatically in full screen while running a screen capture program that supports video capture (Hypercam <http://www.hyperionics.com/> is one) but you will have more editing flexibility by doing the first option. If you have the presentation in powerpoint exactly the way you want it to look on video, then option 2 is relavent. It would really be nice if Powerpoint supported an avi export on the presentations.

You can export all the PowerPoint slides out of PowerPoint as tiff or jpeg files and then import those into PPro. However, this won't allow you to keep any animation in the slides.
