Where does Premiere Pro 1.5 store effects presets the USER makes, and can they be copied and moved to another PC with Premiere Pro 1.5?
In other words.. if I create a effect preset, lets say a custom motion using the TRANSFORM preset, I then SAVE IT with a distinctive name, and it now appears in the list of Effects Presets. Now, I want to use this same effect preset at the another location on another PC running Premiere Pro 1.5, but could not possibly duplicate the intricate movements of the item, so I want to use the preset I made at my studio. Where is it? Can I copy it to disk and transfer it to my other PC and have it 'seen' in the application there?

do a search on the "distinctive name" with a wildcard for the extension (eg myeffectpreset.*)

I believe all the Premiere PRO effect presets are stored in bulk in one file called "Effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset" to be found in the directory "C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\1.5". You apparently cannot select a single effect for transfer.

If you copy the project (or part of it) across to the new computer - maybe the efect will come across with the clip you have applied it to...then you could save it as a custom preset in the new location.

I think I'm going to try the Effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset suggestion. I'll save the original copy on my 2nd machine and then overwrite it with the version on my 1st machine. I'll let you know how this works. By the way, just copying the project file (.prproj) does not include any user presets when seen on the 2nd machine.

No it wouldnt. I suggested that you would have to go to the clip that had the custom effect applied then save it as a "new" custom preset.
