Suppose I shoot and edit in hdv--what's the best way to make it look like film post-processing?

What kind of software is best for giving footage a film or 24p feel in
post-processing?

Is it easier to do this on a mac or a PC?

Whic is better? Final cut/Motion or After Effects/Adobe?

I use Adobe production studio prem and shoot with JVC GY-HD100 in HDV.

Prem. Pro 2 works fine.
