Crash when importing footage

Hello,

All of a sudden Premire crashes when I import footage. I can import stills fine but video will cause my system to IMMEDIATELY restart. It doesn't matter the file size or the drive I pull from.

It just started happening out of the blue. Any thoughts?

Since it's unusual for PPro to crash when importing video assets, you gotta figure there's something unusual about those assets in your case. You neglected to mention anything about them.

I am getting crashes when I import MPEG-2 files specifically.
