When I import an mpeg-2 file into Premiere Pro 1.0 or try to move the
imported mpeg-2 file to the timeline, the application crashes. This is
the error:

AppName: adobe premiere pro.exe AppVer: 7.0.0.0 ModName: cevideo.ax
ModVer: 1.0.0.30602 Offset: 00008059

I'd like to dump some mpeg-2 video (extracted from a VOB file) into my
project. But Premiere Pro keeps crashing. Should I reinstall? Any
ideas?

It's always embarassing when you find the answer to your question a few
minutes after asking it. But that's what just happend.

I read in another forum that the "cevideo.ax" is a Ulead-installed
file. They suggested we uninstall whatever Ulead video appplication we
have on the computer. So I did and restarted my XP.

When I next tried dropping the MPEG-2 file in my Premiere Pro timeline,
it worked! No crash!

Hope this helps someone else.
